Drip.fm - anybody using this?

An RFI, I guess - is anyone using this service? There are a handful of labels that make me curious (Light in the Attic, Captured Tracks, Sub Pop), though I can't *actually* figure out exactly what you get for the money - Sub Pop's is £10 per month, for example. Anybody using it? Worth it?

yeah i use it, i love it. captured tracks not such a good example as they sucked at providing consistent content and they shut it down. sub pop's is excellent, as is the domino drip. it's a fantastic idea if the label is properly into it

So sorry to be dense, but it's genuinely difficult to figure out exactly how it works. If I sign up and they take my £10, what do I get for that? I'm looking at Sub Pop's, for example, and I see they have all the new Sleater Kinney remastered LPs on there. Do I get some of that? All of that? Do I pick and choose? Then once I've picked some stuff, do I wait a full month before I get another go at their stuff?

I guess I'm thinking of it like eMusic or something (where the last few months I've pretty much just bought Sub Pop and Light in the Attic stuff - so maybe this is more appealing?).

Which other labels do it well? Thanks for any steering!

after signup, you normally get to download everything they put up after that as it is released, plus (i think) three credits for downloading albums they've put up prior to you joining. i think some labels give you particular releases as well for joining.

most of the labels i've subbed to have been reasonably on the ball keeping up with putting up their new releases. during lean new release times some labels put up back catalogue stuff, i think most of them could improve a bit in this regard..

it's not really like emusic, you basically get what you're given, but if you like a label and the type of new releases they put out then it's excellent value.

So how's Sub Pop with the back catalogue stuff? They've only got two new releases on the calendar for several months (and one is a reissue).

there's a small handful (some recent stuff, and the usual nirvana/earth/sebadoh/shins/beach house etc). most labels seem to be largely holding back putting their upcoming stuff on the calendar which is good and bad, surprises are nice but you also feel like nothing's going on
