Music to come to

Leading on from Ally's "I could've lived my entire life not knowing what someone's 'music to cum to' was." in the Serge Gainsbourg thread....

Particularly welcome are comedic suggestions along the lines of Alan Partridge jumping up and down on his bed to 'Jet'.

But if you want to answer the question straight faced then that's OK too.

Masturbatory climaxes acceptable (that's always been my motto).

Why do I get the feeling no one is going to respond to this...?

Surely CRAZY TOWN is the only choice.

Short on thread ideas, are we?

Many many years ago when the world was young and Britpop was just around the corner, i was CANOODLING with a lady friend whilst in the background played a tape (a tape! Were we ever so untechnological?) of the first three Suede singles. It all seemed so very modern and decadent, and as things moved along i quite forgot that i had taped this over an old mixes tape of my old band Voon. Such things were far far from my mind, and as the Suede singles ebbed away i couldn't care less. That is, until a few minutes later when, at a crucial moment, the original music blasted out, with my own voice suddenly shouting out the chorus to our own attempt at a Christmas hit single.

"Santa is Coming! Santa is Coming!"

I've decided it's a *boss* question, Tom, so ner.

Some time ago a girl called Susannah asked on the Sinister list if anyone would admit to pleasuring themselves to Belle & Sebastian records. I like the idea of a bespectacled weed shooting his load to the recorder solo in 'Winter Wooskie'. No, I really do. I think it's quite subversive.

NB. This is the first and last time you will ever hear me characterise Belle & Sebastian and their fans in such a willfully cheap fashion.

Why stop there, Nick? Really.

As for you, Fred, hush. GG Allin is always there for you.

"Bed of nails" - Alice Cooper...

I remember trying to orgasm to some really butch sports metal I downloaded from Napster, but I think I just got bored trying. I don't think I could hit the fine pitch of self-loathing -- or irony -- that would be necessary for me to pull it off.

First of the day - Windowlicker - AFX. I find it had not to....
Then I recommend a cigarette, or wandering around naked for a bit if you don't smoke, but act distracted, stare out the window, whatever you have to do.
Second round - Love Serenade - Barry White. It wouldn't have become a cliche if it wasn't so effective
Does anyone else think that the CD format have changed sex? I just hate crouching by the the turntable half-way through an album, I feel so exposed, and there's my partner over the other side of the room looking at me like I'm a fetishist. Singles (7") of course can be perfect, given the right circumstances. But the repeat button on CD players is the best thing since the locked groove.

mike, remember how the other day when i said the word "erection" (as in "i got erection" by norwegian punk rock act turbonegro) it made your toes curl?

fred solinger, Tuesday, 15 May 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yes. I do remember that, Fred.

The theme from Black Beauty.

Greg, Tuesday, 15 May 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's got to be 'Rabbit, Rabbit' by Chas and Dave. Or maybe 'Snooker Loopy'.

Dave, Tuesday, 15 May 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What is it about you and Cockney ethnic authenticists, Dave?

Good call on the Black Beauty theme, Greg. What a theme. What a series. What a mythology. Richard Carpenter = Godhead.

Though I assume this is a reference to Alan Partridge's fantasies? Again, what a series and what a mythology. Hell, a year ago this week I was *living* that life. I have eaten my dinner in a Lincolnshire golf club lounge, and I have survived.

WHY do I get blamed for all the evil on this message board? We have got to come up with some sort of rule that invoking my name in a question is equal to invoking Nazis in a debate or something, and results in automatic nullification.

Ally, Tuesday, 15 May 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I know this is another bout of auto-promotion, but I dedicated an entire chapter in my first novel Fuct & Fiction - on how to achieve the perfect orgasm listening to The Velvet Underground and Nico - I'd post the escerpt but that would violate my contract...oh well.

Either The Residents or Fantomas. Sure to make her think you're insane, which is a quality girls seem to covet these days.

dbini, Sunday, 20 January 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sort of depends what kinda sex you have. But Shuggie Otis would definitely add to the whole *rawk 'n' rawl* experience. Prince? Never tried but I am more than willing. Who ever plays Bob Dylan has a problem. ;-)
