Really hard to pick one here. The only thing I can't stand here is "Heal the world", but that's totally counterbalanced by "Will you be there" with its eye-misting superpowers.

TBH Jackson's discography is pretty flawless to me.

Brantley Gilbert's "Bottoms Up" made me realize how awesome "Give In To Me" is.

The ominous synths and guitars in "Give in to me" remind me of "The Real Thing"-era FNM (and are as good as anything in that album)

Gonna vote for "Will You Be There," but re-listening, I'm surprised at how solid so much of this is.

"In The Closet" for its brittle, sampled beauty. It's somehow very minimal and very lush at the same time.

man, if he hadn't been so concerned with filling up the capacity of a cd, this could have been a masterpiece. throw out the schlocky ballads and rearrange the sequence and you have a damn good album:

and even like that, it's still a goddamn hour long. title track is underrated. "remember the time" is so good. it's fucking godlike. my sweet lord, what an absolute `choon.

somehow i played this CD a million times without looking at the cover for longer than 15 seconds

and it represents the music perfectly.

i had it on cassette and would often investigate the scaled down version with a magnifying glass. true story.

If you care at all about this album and you haven't yet picked up Susan Fast's 33 1/3 (which I re-read this afternoon), you need to get on that. She even manages to make a plausible case for "Heal the World!"
