What are your current favorite joints this year? I would love to see what dusties people are digging, but newer soul tracks are welcome, too.
I like to hunt for good tracks and have accumulated a big backlog maybe you have, too!

For those into current Southern soul often with synths and frequently about cheatin' spouses, by artists like Mel Waiters, OB Buchana, Denise Lasalle, Millie Jackson, Nellie Tiger Travis and more; plus linedance songs, Xchuckx and I have been writing on this other thread for years. Sometimes we write about other stuff too: the Holmes Brothers, reissues, Betye Lavette, retro-Brooklyn types...

The writer of that post on the 68 to 73 tv show Soul, Professor Gayle Wald, now has a book out about the subject. Haven't gotten it yet.
