sam hunt is hot, his music isn't very 'country' at all, and i like that song. it is more interesting than the rest of his weirdly overrated album. the point above re: the drake-like delivery is otm and insightful tho.

a good portion of what the country radio format plays these days is basically hot adult contemporary (and crosses to that format w/ ease -- a barely-different edit of lady antebellum's "bartender" is getting play there rn). it is only called country because those stations play it.

That guy's flow is terrible. Like his singing voice is alright but he can't keep the beat on the lines where he switches over to rap mode. Also the country backing is so idiosyncratic and weird this is just an awkward mess.

Im not sure where to put this one as its obviously a song from another time, but here it is being played in Asda and in other shops. I like christmas a lot, there are fewer cars on the street, fewer people around, generally a relatively peaceful time of year, but this thing playing while you are in Asda which is packed with people buying bags of crisps that are bigger than their children is a belligerent act. I think the worst part of it is with most of the other garbage its time in the sun is done almost as soon as its replaced with something else, but this over-entitled moron smoking a cigar in your living room is never going to leave
