In this, "the year of the mixCD" (well, I think so), this is one of the best of the lot. Not just lots of variety and well mixed, but fun too. A joy to listen to, in fact. Agree/disagree?

"Weiss Mix" is excellent - the tracks I didn't know before: especially by Akufen (his Perlon single), and Apparat (ShitKatapult)just knocked me off my feet. I like the mix, because it's not easy to qualify it as microhouse, or tech - house
(not to mention electroclash, surely). Having seen / heard Ellen's DJ sets in clubs a few times I didn't expected from her such a diversity - she was playing mainly electro-house, BPitch-Control style, as I remember (not that I didn't like it, Bpitch Control comps. are ace). But now "Weiss mix" is something for a great "joining the dots" debate -Andrea Parker with tech-gangstas / Superpitcher / Squarepusher / Akufen / Cex / Closer Music / Phoenecia. Perfect!

Like it a lot esp. the bit from Kiki to Sylvie Marks. Though I like her first mix-cd Flieg Mit... better.

"Flieg Mit" is also great and more pop-oriented. I'm still not sure if I like that Paula song, and I was singing this Peter Licht's Sonnendeck" refrain-'Oder im Solarium, Oder Am Radar" for so long my friends got to hate it (I still like it, though).Also great tracks by Paul Kalkbrenner and Tricke, but the concept to introduce artist from Bpitch control and friendly Berlin labels: Monica, Kitty Yo seems limiting for Ellen, in comparison with "Weiss Mix" at least.

Love it, even if it is like a who's who vanity run through the IDM/click world (Warp! Schematic! TB6! sandwiched by Kompakt! etc.). Some of the transitions aren't too subtle but it greatly underscores the 'D' in stupid IDM.
