The Midlands (Roscommon, Offaly esp. Borris-in-Ossory *shudder*) are boring and uninteresting (most ghost estates there?). Tipperary town seems to have gone backwards in time.

Parts of Limerick city are as bad as reputation suggests (although I'm probably overfamiliar with the place) and its certainly gone seriously downhill post-recession (although I guess you could say this about the whole country)
