Kinderwhore Grindcore: Hole's "Pretty On the Inside" vs. Babes in Toyland's "Fontanelle"

"Fontanelle" has much better songs

My instinct is Hole because that record seemed scathing and scary and noisy as hell to me when it came out. But I haven't heard Fontanelle in a dog's age.

My knee-jerk reaction is "Pretty on the Inside" but "Fontanelle" might be better tunes, though it's been forever since I listened to either.

Also, I bet everyone I've ever had sex with owned both of these albums

that early hole stuff was really bracing -- scathing and scary and noisy are good words. i would love a new band that sounded like that, like big black with transgressive guttural female vocals.
