from wikipedia:

Tsui is popularly renown with her jaw-dropping gowns on-stage.[2] As a result, she is very conscientious about what she wears on stage and is very careful in selecting her clothes.[2] If she does not approve of her outfit, she will not show it to anyone.[2] She thinks that big dresses on stage is for effect, therefore, she does not care about the weight of the dresses. Tsui will practice walking in the dresses until she feels comfortable with the excess weight.[2] Paradoxically, though she cares about the clothes, she also wants the audiences to focus on her music performance rather than the clothing she wears.[2] Even though her stage clothes are all well-fitting, Tsui is not a picky eater, she loves food, and when she faces pressure, she likes eating chocolates and sweets to release stress.[2]

wow!

U.S. State Department, Office of Rare Psych (upper mississippi sh@kedown) wrote this on thread Johnny Marr & the Healers on board I Love Music on Nov 30, 2012

it's weird there's this band from Mpls named Howler, and I guess the frontman is the son of the ex-VP of our old parent company and the Howler dude is dating Marr's daughter and basically lives with them now

every interview with Marr I've read has been really boring, but I feel like he's make a nice father in law. I wonder if him and Jordan from Howler 'jam' together at home

Phil Oakey's coat there is making me want to start a thread specifically about the sartorial choices of early 80s electro pop +new romantic ppl as they went through the 90s, 00s and beyond, the ones who started dressing down, the ones who experimented with cyber-punk/industrial looks etc

Thomas Dolby used to have a really good look in the 80s but at some stage he pushed it too far and got into bad steampunk territory
