definitely a toss-up between Terror Twilight, Avant Hard and Boredoms. I love the Boredoms album but didn't discover them till about 2005 so it's not really a 1999 album for me. but TT and AH were big big records for me at the time. think I might just troll myself and vote for Avant Hard. can't think of any other album like it and while I still listen to TT on the regular, it'll never be the best Pavement record.

Hood - The Cycle Of Days And Seasons - bad vocals
Orbital - The Middle Of Nowhere - really difficult/interesting album, textures are aggressively bright and clean.

Since Bee OK didn't pick The Monsoon Bassoon's "I Dig Your Voodoo" off imago's list, this is Boredoms vs Underworld vs Cardiacs

much more I like here than on the 1-30 list, many things here I loved very much at the time - which makes it feel wrongish to vote for VCN, which I didn't hear for a few years afterwards. I guess I'll put my faith in the good people of ILX to vote for Underworld and the Boredoms for me and I'll vote for Cardiacs

I've got to stop looking at this list, my shortlist is getting longer and longer. The Low and the Smog sounded so amazing to '99 me too, how could I forget, etc

i knew what was going to win, that was obvious. very, very happy at the Super Furry Animals finishing second.

if no one does sign up for a Super Furry Animals poll i will do that one day. just added Smashing Pumpkins so i will wait but hope someone else steps up before hand.
