Why are labels (and Bryan Adams) restricting Allmusic information?

Tonight, I was trying to look up a seemingly linked review for a indie rock band called Wildhoney and a screen appeared with the text "Due to label restrictions, we are no longer permitted to display this information on AllMusic." Which is a tad worrisome.

Apparently Bryan Adams outright threatened to sue AllMusic unless they removed his information. Is that legal?

Here's a scant bit of info about Bryan Adams threatening Allmusic.

It is kind of hard to believe that the artist or their management or label would even care about a bad review on an old album to pay a couple hundred or more per hour to a lawyer to draw up the paperwork to do a cease and desist letter.
