I had to look up three of these bands on Wikipedia. I still like Hot Hot Heat, albeit in limited amounts.

I voted for Louis XIV, after watching thirty seconds of a clip of them on Conan. Ugh.

I still like the first Bloc Party LP, I never liked Hot Hot Heat or The Bravery, and I've never heard Louis XIV although I suspect I'm not missing much.

i think bandages is the only song i've ever heard by any of these bands. my friends and i loved the datsuns though. they are pretty terrible

I quite liked Bandages at the time too, not sure I'll bother to listen again.

Bloc Party were dreary as fuck.

Louis XIV the best (as in funniest) of all these bands. I'm voting for Hot Hot Heat, who were like if the Rapture were Mormons.

As painfully bad as "Bandages" is...whatever Bloc Party just released may throw them to the top (bottom?) of the heap.

Hot Hot Heat were goofy and fun, which is more than I can say for this thread *shrug*

i have this terrible memory of perusing ILM ca. 2003 then trying to get into "House of Jealous Lovers" and almost convincing myself that I sort of liked it. DARK DARK times.

can't hate on HHH, they played a very fun all-ages show when I was 15 or so in Halifax, at a time when such events were exceedingly rare thanks to the then-awful state of venues
