Many things about the Gorge are still unknown.
DJ Nanga, will answer some FAQ about this mysterious scene.
[interviewed by Boyana Kalinova at Yosemite valley]

Q: What is Gorge?
A: Gorge is Gorge.

Q: why did you create Gorge?
A: I answered that already. Why don’t you google it? Search for
”DJ Nanga Gorge”.

Q: It is said that to create a Gorge tune, you need to follow the
“Gorge Public License (GLP)”. What is GLP?
A: That’s the rule of Gorge:
1 Use Toms
2 Say “Gorge”
3 Don’t say “Art”
There is no clear definition for each statement,
so could you try and elaborate more please?

Q: What characteristics Gorge as a genre?
A: As in GPS, if toms are used, it is Gorge. As I answered the last question, we don’t define what tom is, so please use your imagination.

Q: It is said that Gorge is from the club scene of a mountain area in India and Nepal, is that true?
A: Do you really believe that there is a club in such a place?

Q: It is said that, initially Gorge was formed by “Himalayan Giants” - a collective of DJs like D Nanga, DJ Pumori, and DJ Cho-oyu; however, we don’t hear any music from them now. Is it true that they collectively formed Gorge?
A: What`s important is what is happening now. Anyway, tunes from the beginning are often low key and hard to come across later on. I really don’t need to prove what is true or false…

Q: There is a famous saying by DJ Nanga, “when you feel it is Gorge, it is Gorge”. What does it mean?
A: Gorge was always there, and it will always be. Historical roots are not much important. The important thing is if you can simple enjoy listening. In simple words, “enjoy your Gorge”.

Q: There is a suspicion that Gorge scene does not exist at all. Is that true?
A: All music genres, at some point in the past, did not exist. They do now though. What is the problem with that?

Country music, yodel singing in old blues... It's no exaggeration to say that "rock" music is descendants of American mountains... #Gorge

The music features repetitive beats of distorted Tom-Tom drums, which sonically symbolizes hardness of rocks and contraction of muscular while climbing.
