i should really just keep a bookmarks folder of pieces i love, i forget everything really easily. one non-internet piece i really enjoyed is mike powell's essay about the klf in the pitchfork review. i'd also like to shout out scott's column in the same publication

This long article about Frank Sinatra was published in July, but I just read it. It's a very good combination of history, biography and psychology and has some great bits of musical analysis and close-listening.
