Surprising this is the first thread for it! Great album.

I wish I liked this better, but I feel like their first two trump it.

Ego Death plays like a capitulation to me in a way, like "this is what we have to do to get the world to start paying attention to us."

ok my initial assessment was way too harsh--it's a headphones record, meant for absorption, not background listening. love wanna be, la di da, and the one with big rube

happy for him, but don't really love the song or the album all too much. "bad habit" is catchy but in an irritating way (that "i wish i knew" melody just rubs me the wrong way).

this revive does remind me that i need to check out syd's album again. i thought it was pretty lovely at first blush, but i don't remember much of it.

I feel like those parts where he sings "It's okay things happen for/reasons that I can't ignore" or whatever are pretty sublime
