Yep. It's an immense sound, but it's definitely brushes on a snare drum with the snare disengaged, if that makes sense. The drum is being hit rather than "swished" which is the more familiar "brushes" sound.

That's impressive, it does sound very distinct. I was just assuming the snare sound was a sample or a production trick, but now that I'm hearing it again it makes sense it's actually a brush hitting it.
