Voted Space Blues. Felt's best since Primitive Painters.

Oz, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 11:21 (nine years ago)

Never occurred to me that "Ivy Ivy Ivy" and "Loaded" were released so close together, despite knowing the origin of the latter.

michaellambert, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 12:20 (nine years ago)

oh wow, impossible. going to vote for "Son of Mustang Ford" on first pass. those four songs are epic.

Bee OK, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 15:00 (nine years ago)

I remember buying "Destroy the Heart" and "You Made Me Realise" budget editions (99p) on the same day. That was pretty refreshing. I think the latter is the best song here, though there's a lot I'm not familiar with.

CRE055 My Bloody Valentine You Made Me Realise August 1988

^ This one!

Turrican, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 19:08 (nine years ago)

Yeah, the only thing that comes close to YMMR is Christine imo

seb mooczag (NickB), Wednesday, 16 December 2015 19:13 (nine years ago)

"You Made Me Realise", but for the b-side, "Slow". Thats my favorite MBV tune.

EZ Snappin, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 19:53 (nine years ago)

Has to be the first Ride EP, but it hurts not voting for Slowdive. Love the MBV also but they'll be fine on this poll.

kraudive, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 22:49 (nine years ago)

Oh, I managed to pass over "Son of Mustang Ford"!

michaellambert, Wednesday, 16 December 2015 22:51 (nine years ago)

Voted "Dream Beam". What an era this was! Wanna go back.

henry s, Thursday, 17 December 2015 00:08 (nine years ago)

"I Hate Hate", someone really needs to cover that again. If I was running for president that would be my campaign song.

henry s, Thursday, 17 December 2015 00:10 (nine years ago)

"She Haunts" by Biff Bang Pow! is good.
So is "Ivy" by Primal Scream.sd

I can't see straight. Bear with me.

I went with the "Glider" e.p., "To who knows where" is one of my top twenty ever..

Mark G, Thursday, 17 December 2015 07:52 (nine years ago)

Me too, but looking back over that list it could have gon 15 ways. What an incredible couple of years they had.

cw, Saturday, 19 December 2015 08:37 (nine years ago)

Um, Mark, that's not on the Glider EP (which is Soon etc), you're thinking of Tremelo from early 91.

Lionel Richie the Wardrobe (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 19 December 2015 08:56 (nine years ago)

Sorry, yes, it was "Soon" I was meaning.

Mark G, Saturday, 19 December 2015 09:03 (nine years ago)

I'm going for the Ride EP because it is/was probably my favourite EP ever and had a massive impact on the 16-year-old me. Can't really put it into words, but the swirling waves of guitars, wah-wah and feedback in Close My Eyes is pretty much perfection. Could easily have voted for Glider instead. Or Slowdive. But this is the one, even the artwork is perfect.

Lionel Richie the Wardrobe (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 19 December 2015 09:03 (nine years ago)

The first Ride EP is perfect to me too. I'm not sure of another record written and recorded by 19 year olds that's as good. Close My Eyes is so wonderful. I loved this band so so much. I don't think Creation released a better single.

kraudive, Saturday, 19 December 2015 23:05 (nine years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

System, Sunday, 20 December 2015 00:01 (nine years ago)

Voting for the other one, "Feed Me with Your Kiss."

the future is now, Sunday, 20 December 2015 00:02 (nine years ago)

I remember when it came out and it was on the Chart Show, I was all 'that it?' I mean its ok but there had been loads of great Creation singles up to then, why this "OK" one?

I sort of get it now, young good looking, etc, they made some great stuff but on the whole, ok.

xposts, that was anout the Ride ep, obv.
