So many great songs here, but my very personal choice is "Sunshine Smile", which is one of my top 20 or so songs of all time.

NoTimeBeforeTime, Monday, 21 December 2015 13:21 (nine years ago)

I wonder if anyone was still (attempting to) collect all of the Creation singles?

I didn't get a load of the first ten, but I tried keeping up from The Loft "Why does the rain" onwards, but got off the bus before "Five go down to the sea"

CRE123 Ride Leave Them All Behind February 1992

If anyone needs to know, the misspelled CRE113 Silverfish Fuckin Driving Or What is an EP with Big Bad Baby Pigsqueal on it

glandular lansbury (sic), Monday, 21 December 2015 21:42 (nine years ago)

Despite how much I love Teenage Fanclub, has to be "Never Lose That Feeling".

michaellambert, Monday, 21 December 2015 22:19 (nine years ago)

Freakin' love Adorable.

Gerald McBoing-Boing, Monday, 21 December 2015 23:11 (nine years ago)

first entry is the best entry

Never Lose That Feeling

This whole batch seems far less momentous than the previous lot though

seb mooczag (NickB), Monday, 21 December 2015 23:54 (nine years ago)

I was going to add 1993 in, but it put it way beyond the 50 maximum.

Mark G, Tuesday, 22 December 2015 00:08 (nine years ago)

Spacewalk.

piscesx, Tuesday, 22 December 2015 00:39 (nine years ago)

this is the "Lazarus" EP, also the winner in ILM's Boo Radlelys Singles/EP's poll. those four songs are among the best songs Creation has put out, IMO.

Bee OK, Tuesday, 22 December 2015 02:48 (nine years ago)

Well, yes.

There are a lot of contenders for my number two pick here, but.

Mark G, Tuesday, 22 December 2015 09:56 (nine years ago)

The first Moonshake EP has been criminally overlooked by history

Lionel Richie the Wardrobe (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Wednesday, 23 December 2015 08:39 (nine years ago)

Er...you do realise you've left off My Bloody Valentine - Tremelo EP???

Lionel Richie the Wardrobe (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Wednesday, 23 December 2015 08:51 (nine years ago)

CRE085 My Bloody Valentine Tremolo (EP) February 1991

Damn!

OK, I'm not restarting this one again..

Write in votes plz - it will doubtless get through to the next round anyhow, so all it needs is two votes.

That's how we're doing this: Anything that gets two votes or more makes the final poll, unless there's more than 50 at which point we'll make a value judgement...

Creation Singles Poll, Part Four and a half - 1991 to 1992

.. let's be fair, I think so.

Mark G, Wednesday, 23 December 2015 13:33 (nine years ago)

it's important

Mark G, Thursday, 24 December 2015 18:30 (nine years ago)

Also voting for the Boo Radleys but this is for the excellent Adrenalin EP.

the future is now, Tuesday, 29 December 2015 02:51 (nine years ago)

i hated doing it, but i voted for "don't fight it, feel it".

anyway. it's fucking 2015 and we're talking about creation singles! all of this is practically classic rock, by now.

It's such a Fred Durst thing to do. (monster mash), Friday, 1 January 2016 08:26 (nine years ago)

All I remember about "A Good Idea" is that it ripped off "Debaser" pretty much wholesale.

Jersey Al (Albert R. Broccoli), Friday, 1 January 2016 09:04 (nine years ago)

Can't believe I'm not voting for Medicine but Today Forever is just a perfect object. Not just the music (which is so amazingly balanced between storm and calm - everything I wanted Shoegazing to be) but also the video e.p. - I absolutely wore a hole in the tape of that thing.

Liebe ist kälter als der Todmorden (Branwell with an N), Friday, 1 January 2016 09:36 (nine years ago)

Dude, Medicine sucked.

It's such a Fred Durst thing to do. (monster mash), Friday, 1 January 2016 09:42 (nine years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

System, Wednesday, 6 January 2016 00:01 (nine years ago)

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

System, Thursday, 7 January 2016 00:01 (nine years ago)

Phh, you're all wrong. Today Forever rules

kraudive, Thursday, 7 January 2016 00:13 (nine years ago)

<3 ILM, i should have known you would get the correct answer for this poll.

Bee OK, Thursday, 7 January 2016 02:38 (nine years ago)

also all Boo Radleys EP's got at least one vote!

Bee OK, Thursday, 7 January 2016 02:38 (nine years ago)

I think I voted for Boo! Forever in this but on reflection I should've gone for Sugar - Changes.

Gavin, Leeds, Thursday, 7 January 2016 07:46 (nine years ago)

Yeah, but threshold is two votes for the final.

Blimey, "Dixie Narco" ffalls!

Mark G, Thursday, 7 January 2016 07:58 (nine years ago)

The Scream tie with the Boos for most cumulative votes.

everything, Thursday, 7 January 2016 08:13 (nine years ago)

Who's the other person who voted for Moonshake?

Lionel Richie the Wardrobe (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Thursday, 7 January 2016 12:11 (nine years ago)
