Only Courtney Barnett and Floating Points made any impression on me among this list... will throw a vote to Floating Points. The guitar rock albums here really are weak. Deerhunter, Beach House, Sleater Kinney, and Kurt Vile have no business being anywhere near this top 30.

Little album at 29 called Sremmlife.

There's ten on here that I own, and I really like about half of them, with unreserved love for... none? Yet? Grimes is getting there. So I'd probably vote for her by default.

The SK record is great though, fuck the haters. The riffs! A New Wave gets it a place in any end-of-year list I might concoct just on its own.

I only like Sufjan and Deafheaven from what I've heard in this list and neither would be top 30 worthy by any stretch of the imagination, so... Sufjan it is, I guess.

I like a good few of these and will not begrudge them when they land high on our own poll. I'll not begrudge anything, really, except jamie xx and a couple of others lol

venerating Pitchfork's choices above the choices of other institutions by polling them like this further continues our obsession with them and the sanctity of their word

well damn looks like the boys over at p4k have done it again! if you had any doubts that 2015 was basically the best year ever for new music this helping of eclectic grooves and total jams will let you in on the truth. it's so hard to pick just one of these fantastic albums but if you twist my hard enough i would have to say sufjan stevens
