most of the rest of the list is absolutely horrid tho, the sort of wanky rockist shit that this website ('acclaimed'[by the specific critics we like and see as generalist despite having very niche taste]music, not ilm) seems to exist to boost, if not in intention then certainly in function. shame because this year had loads of great music in my memory.

I really hate Bittersweet Symphony. Absolutely dire.

"Bitter Sweet Symphony" does one thing really well, but over and over again for about 5 minutes. And I can't listen to it ever without my mind wandering to thoughts about court cases and royalties disputes. Great song though.

I just saw that Dandy Warhols title, went to youtube and now I've been playing that song for about half an hour straight. Totally forgot how great that song was. Voted for Beetlebum though, 2015 marks the year that I fell hard for Blur after knowing them for 20 years but never actually checking them out (besides the big hits), and I've been playing their albums since past summer on repeat.

That Spiritualized album was overrated, but I really like the opening track and 'Broken Heart'.

Can someone explain the appeal of Brimful of Asha? Sounds boringly repetitive and tossed-off to me.

Idk I think it can be massively catchy when the mood takes me. Feel free to mentally replace it with Mmmbop, which is prob the better song
