Or at least make sense of it.

I can't remember this one specifically, but I'll lay bets that every shot EVH is in, he's got an ear to ear grin.

It's got a dwarf (or a little person, depending on your sensitivities) in it. And a woman tied to a post.

W-w-why is everybody dressed like that? Is there a storyline?

From what I've gathered, the band wasn't keen on the prospect of shooting a video and ended up poking fun at the medium with "(Oh) Pretty Woman." DLR as Napoleon is rather funny, though.

eddie's on a horse
mike's dressed as a shogun
david's napoleon

Trivia: When the video first played on MTV (whenever the hell that was), they spelled the band's name "Von Halen" in the captions.

It just occurred to me that when this thread was started in 2002, there was no youtube. How did we watch shit back then?

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 19 February 2012 02:40 (thirteen years ago)

we relied on spotty memories, vh1 classic, and old vhs tapes rescued from our parents basements.

honestly if i ever had to live in a world without youtube again, i'd rather we just go full on post-nuclear holocaust.
