Which reminds me - I was looking through early '70s back-issues of Rolling Stone at the library this afternoon and there was a full-page ad for the record that Pavement appropriated for Westing (?). The band's name was "Ambergris" and there's a photo of the band with a cartoon voice balloon from one of the band members reading "AMBERGRIS means whale puke". Gee whiz I'm wondering why they did not storm the globe with a string of #1 hit albums.
