DAVID BOWIE.

THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST
AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS.

ORIGINAL 1972 TEST PRESSING

ALTERNATE MATRIX NUMBER.

THIS IS THE FIRST COPY OF ZIGGY STARDUST EVER PRESSED.

MAKING IT THE RAREST DAVID BOWIE LP IN EXISTANCE.

MATRIX NUMBER BGBS 8064 1T Bobil

BGBS 8065 1T Rasputin

THIS ITEM HAS BEEN RELISTED DUE ONLY TO

A

FEW ERRORS I MADE LISTING IT PRIORLY.

I have no doubt in my mind that this is the very first pressing

of David`s 1972 masterpiece, and the one that started it all.

The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

Furthermore, it is the only one of it`s kind in the world !

A ONE OFF, AND TOTALLY UNIQUE

Therefore the rarest David Bowie LP in existence.

BAR NONE !

Original 1972 Ziggy Stardust Test pressings a ridiculously rare,

if you do manage to locate one you can be sure it will have the

same matrix numbers as the very first and earliest pressings of

the great UK RCA release Ziggy Stardust LP .

That will be Side 1 BGBS 0864 1E

Side 2 BGBS 0865 2E

THIS TEST PRESSING IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT.

LET ME BE AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE.

THIS RECORD RIGHT HERE THAT I AM HOLDING IS

THE VERY FIRST ZIGGY STARDUST LP THEY

EVER PRESSED IN IT`s COMPLETED FORM.

After this had been listened to by the Artist, band,

sound engineer and producers, once they`re all agreed that,

this is how we want the new album to sound. The go ahead would

be given for the first pressing of stock copies to commence and

be sent to the record shops.

I have taken better pictures so all potential bidders can see

ALL THE MATRIX MARKINGS and

understand exactly the histrionic importance of what you are bidding at.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT PIECES
OF DAVID BOWIE HISTORY YOU ARE EVER LIKLEY TO SEE.

Double click he pictures and see those all important Matrix numbers.

It`s difficult to photograph but they are written and stamped BOLDLY.

Side 1 reads BGBS 1T Bobil near the A of the RCA

Side 2 reads BGBS 1T Rasputin near the R of the RCA

As if the 1T 1T was not enough.... I wondered where I had seen

bibil/Rasputin before. Then it came to me....of course how can I have missed that?

Those of you fortunate to be holding a very first pressing of

Bowie`s HUNKY DORY.

Dig it out and check the Dead wax.

There you will see Bobil/Rasputin and that is unbelievably important.

That chronologically Dates this pressing .

THIS PRESSING IS PRE ZIGGY.

NO OTHER ZIGGY STARDUST LP ON EARTH BARES

Bobil/Rasputin in the dead wax.

AND I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO THAT.

THIS WAS PRESSED STRAIGHT AFTER HUNKY DORY.

IMMEDIATLY.

THEY NEVER BOTHERD TO CHANGE THE STAMPER IN SUCH A

HURRY TO GET THIS DONE AND SEE HOW ZIGGY SOUNDS ON VINYL.

The 1 T is TEST ONE or FIRST TEST.

So any other test pressings came after this one.

So rest assured this is the FIRST, and earliest ever

pressing of this classic LP IN ITS FINISHED STATE,

and I believe this item is totally unique.

And its condition is just outstanding.

The vinyl is TOTALY ASTOUNDING.

A thick heavy slab of 70s vinyl that you just don't see any more.

To be ultra critical it is MINT- and it

is that grading all the way, and on both sides!

The highest lustre sheen possible.

Totally amazing.

This record looks unplayed, but it has been, I just test played it and it

sounds bold and hard and fantastic, a true collectors dream.

It is heart wrenching to hear David as he sings 5 years, (what a sad shame).

The glossy white labels are in mint condition with no markings that

should not be there.

The sleeve has a repair to the top and bottom with sellotape,

if you wanted you could replace the sleeve for £20 but I wouldn't

because it came in this sleeve years ago.

The very FIRST, FIRST, FIRST, pressing of Ziggy Stardust ever pressed

no doubt, the numbers prove it. The only copy in the world with

these numbers making it a unique one of a kind.

This is the absolute ultimate tip of the hat to Ziggy Stardust...

Isn`t this what record collecting is all about ? Unearthing something new.

Who`s record collection would not benefit from this true Bowie rarity ?

NO OTHER PROOF IS NEEDED.

WITHOUT A SHADDOW OF A DOUBT.

THIS IS THE FIRST COPY OF

THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST

AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS THEY EVER PRESSED.

THINK LONG AND HARD ABOUT THAT !!!!!

BECAUSE THIS NEXT FACT.

IS SIMPLY INESCAPABLE .

NO OTHER BOWIE COLLECTOR IN THE WORLD.

HAS THIS.

THIS IS DAVID BOWIE ROCK HISTORY.

FLYING !!!

AT ITS FLYING, AT ITS HIGHEST LEVEL.

FACE THE FACTS.

THIS IS NOT LETS DANCE.

THIS IS ZIGGY STARDUST.

AND ITS THE FIRST ONE EVER PRESSED.

WHAT A JEWEL IN THE CROWN OF A BOWIE COLLECTION !

WHAT A CENTREPIECE OF YOUR BOWIE PUZZLE.

IT IS YOURS, FOR THE TAKING !!!!!

JUST LIKE BOWIE SAID BACK IN 75.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WIN !

Take time to look at my other items.

I am selling a Purple scary Monsters look up what the

Financial Times said about the investability of David Bowie.

Bowie collectors old and new, keep an eye on my auctions over

the next few weeks. I will be selling some of the rarest David Bowie LPs

that were ever pressed.

Postage and packing is

inland £6.50 for First class recorded .

Germany is £12.10 first class tracked and insured.

I no longer ship to the Russian Fed Ukraine or Italy.

On 17-Feb-16 at 22:03:11 GMT, seller added the following information:
People keep asking me where did I get these records from. Here is the briefed down truth.

I have been collecting seriously since 1978.So I get them here there and everywhere . Some

are from record fairs, and some are from other collectors(like the purple Scary Monsters which is up now)

long before the internet. Some actually do come from people who I met in the music industry like this

Ziggy test pressing right here. One of my best friends the late Wayne Rannellie (from New York), hung out

with the Ramones and Lou Reed and Patty Smith. He was a journalist for the NY Mag called

PUNK Magazine. Look up Wayne`s final interview with Jayne County (its superb).

Wayne gave me this Test Pressing 27 years ago. He told me he got it from a NY DJ and I cant

remember his name (Mr DJ if your reading this, please get in touch). Wayne told me that small tape mark

(top Left) is marker tape used by DJs usually to write song times on, to do switch overs between tracks.

He said they use it to mark LPs to be promoted or chosen for airplay. I do have other LPs with the same

taper material and song timings on them .

I am really guessing here, but Maybe Tony Defries had this pressing rushed through and sent to a top

New York DJ in Late 71 Early 72 (if your out there please get in touch). And the reason for that would

make perfect sense . Bowie`s Hunky Dory was much better received in the US than it was in the UK.

Defries also got his Fingers severely burned when he paid from his own pocket for 500 BOWPROMOS

to be made to promote Hunky Dory. Nearly all of them got binned and I know the man who was told to

bin them. (I will be selling mine in a couple of weeks with IMPECCABLE PROVINANCE). So call the

bank manager. Because Hunky Dory was well received in the US. Wouldn't it make sense for Defries to

fire off a really early pressing of his artists new album, whom Defries had put so much time (2 Years)

and money into, and give it some airplay in New York to feel the water ?

I think that's very probable and extremely likely. So that's where this one came from.

The Late Great WAYNE RANNELLIE ,Writer, gay rights activist, US guinea pig for the experimental

drugs against the AIDS virus . Music lover and the only person I know to attend over 10,000 concerts,

his record was 7 gigs in one day. I miss him badly. This record belonged to Wayne.

On 20-Feb-16 at 22:14:33 GMT, seller added the following information:
If you read the questions at the bottom of the listing

The answer the that great question I have been asked

is as follows. Here`s the matrix markings in their entirety.

Side 1. BGBS 8064 1T THIS IS FACTORY STAMPED by MACHINE PRESS.

Side 1 also has bobil THIS IS FREEHAND ETCHED.

Side 2. BGBS 8065 1T THIS IS FACTORY STAMPED by MACHINE PRESS.

Side 2. also has Rasputin THIS IS FREEHAND ETCHED.

Anything else, please don't hesitate .

On 20-Feb-16 at 22:19:36 GMT, seller added the following information:
Please take time to look at the 1969 Phillips LP Radio station copy I have listed .

It has something relative to this listing regarding the Disc Jockey marking tape.

On 22-Feb-16 at 20:57:54 GMT, seller added the following information:
A few years ago the Financial Times ran a report on what was the four

most lucrative investments in the UK over the last 50 years for those

fortunate enough to have some spare cash to invest with. They were

antique cars, antique watches, property in fourth place was our reliable old

friend VINYL. They then said its IMPERRATIVE you invested in the right

items. They listed the Cars, Watches and Post codes that gave the highest

returns. Then the vinyl they listed was as follows. THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES,PROG ROCK then they individually recognised DAVID BOWIE.

And that's what I want you to think very carefully about. As you do this just ask

yourself this question....

WHO IS THE MOST INVESTABLE SOLO ARTIST OF ALL TIME IN MUSIC ?

Is it, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson

or is it DAVID BOWIE ? I will agree that maybe, all those named above are bigger

stars. But who is the most INVESTABLE COLLECTABLE ARTIST ?

The Beatles and the Stones are more collectable but there no Solo so

that's not the question.

Who is the most collectable SOLO artist of them all in terms of cold hard cash.

DAVID BOWIE`s LPs and singles beat anyone else on Earth by miles.

Elvis, Frank ,and John Lennon DONT EVEN GET CLOSE. And its for these

reasons. Bowie has MASSIVE CULT. And he was controversial from day one.

Go through all the valuable Bowie LPs in your mind, there are so many.

His debut LP, the Curly hair Philips, The Dress cover, Diamond dogs genitalia,

Hunky Dory and Now this Ziggy right here, Pruple Scary Monsters, on and on.

Now the singles, that list is endless look no further than Marshall Jarmans

SUPERB 7inch discography,(every Bowie fan should have a copy).

So as you decide where you value this magnificent item.

REALISE RIGHT NOW, THAT THIS IS YOUR OPPERTUNITY!!!!!

KNOW AND REALISE EXACTLY WHAT IS BEFORE YOU !!!!

DAVID BOWIE`S ALTER EGO ZIGGY STARDUST !!!!

THERE IS NO BOWIE PERSONA BIGGER THAN THIS !!!

THERE IS NO ARTIST MORE INVESTABLE OR COLLECTABLE THAN BOWIE !!!

THIS IS THE DAVID BOWIE STORY AT ITS HIGHEST POINT !!!!

THE ULTIMATE, AND THE TRUE, DAVID BOWIE ROCK HISTORY.

WIN IT !!!

WIN IT !!!

WIN IT !!!!
