Beat me to it, I really like the sound of that song, looking forward to hearing the other ladies take their turn on lead.

This is going to be great.

That song is gorgeous. I love this whole idea in general.

Liking this a lot, though it is definitely going to be Starbucks background music for the next few years. Missed their concert here last weekend.

Saw the live show in W DC, wasn't expecting to like it much, but was impressed. Lang can emote strongly (but doesn't dance well), Case was as potent as when I've seen her in the past solo or with New P's, and Veirs was ok. They did Patti Smith's "People Have the Power" as one of the encores

Yeah, I didn't have very high expectations but it's a really fun and catchy album. It has a strong Neko vibe on everything (which is good) and goes down like a light wine and has high replayability. Maybe I'll forget about it in a year but I'll queue it up and be impressed all over again.

Wanted to see them so bad last night but it was way out at the zoo and super $$$. Love the album, which to me feels most like an extension of Veirs' recent work. She's the only one with a writing credit on all the songs.

I keep forgetting I want to listen to this album.
― _Rudipherous_, Thursday, 11 August 2016 21:47 (eight years ago)
xpost they've all said publicly that Veirs took the songwriting lead for the project.
Neko's vibe permeates the album bcz Neko's vibe is just that powerful, imo.
i like both Veirs' and Neko's music more than Lang's, but my fave song on the album is Blue Fires, which is the most Lang-y one, so *shrug*

Year of Meteors is such a classic I will basically accept anything from LV
― Chuck_Tatum, Thursday, 11 August 2016 22:07 (eight years ago)
I will take Veir's songwriting over her singing, although it's hard to compete with Case and Lang vocal-wise

a beautiful record, I'm going with Song for Judee in my singles poll
― niels, Tuesday, 13 December 2016 21:07 (eight years ago)
album will be in my top five, easy
― geoffreyess, Wednesday, 14 December 2016 04:31 (eight years ago)
Probably the only crossover music between me and my parents this year lol
― monotony, Wednesday, 14 December 2016 04:34 (eight years ago)
This is really a gorgeous album, not really one that's destined to get a lot of attention unfortunately but really hitting me today

yup
while it will probably always be slightly overlooked, I think will also always have fans

Amazingly produced and arranged, I could see this having a second life as an audiophile "reference record"
