yeah, he's on a bunch of great records that i've heard (and a million other ones I haven't). RIP! was just listening to those Codona LPs, they are really great.

I have Bush Dance, but I don't like it that much, it has this kinda cheesy synth pop/jazz fusion sound which is of aquired taste. But this solo album from 1995 is excellent! It's really a showcase of all the sides of his drumming, from traditional accordion-lead Northeast Brazil music to more experimental and moody sounds. My favourite tune is "A Day in the Amazon / Um dia no Amazonas", which is an ambient track where he creates the soundworld of a teeming jungle with nothing but percussions.
