First band I OD'd on when I started downloading a dozen years ago--went from not knowing anything by them to owning everything (or close) within a month or two. So I have lots of favourites, but coming to them that way, songs do tend to blur together. I'll submit an unranked ballot, if that's okay.

I have a special love for this one, which pretty much puts new Stereolab up against neu Stereolab. I like part 2 better, but kind of feel like the presence of part 1 improves it. I'm not sure if they have any other tracks that do this.

flappy bird's #1/#2 are certainly on my shortlist. The florid arrangement on the studio version of "Pop Quiz" (and much of that EP really) brings me close to tears. But I suspect I'll need to go unranked myself.

Turns out this band is the best soundtrack ever for working on your taxes.

Sometimes I just think they're the best band.

Looking forward to this.

They might just be the band that encapsulate in their influences and references all my favorite genres. They're the band that best answer the "what sort of music do you like?" for me.

Also they might be one of the most consistent bands ever when it comes to aesthetics. Not only in their artwork - which is a perfect fit for the music - but in their sonical palette and design.

I've always wanted an excuse to really get into this band. I probably won't listen enough by the deadline but I'll be following along.

Thank you! As I explained to you in the email that extra .6 points per track doesn't really affect final results at this point. There's been I think 30+ ballots received so far so iIt takes more to go up and down in the ranking of the top 60.

Yep. Got the email. Losing 12 points in total though is equivalent to chopping #20 off a ballot. As I said, I'll not lose any sleep if it's too late. :)

172 tracks so far. 33 Ballots. I already did a check and double check (heh).

All votes are there but it seems I lost 3 points somewhere... there's supposed to be a total of 14,790 points so far and I have 14,787. I'll do a final check on the songs in the countdown only (it might be a top 60 or a top 50, still unsure) see if those 3 points are somewhere in there.

Changing the unranked to ranked was easier than I thought so if anyone else wants to change their ballots to ranked before I start the rollout send me an email. Thanks!

Switched on was by far their best album. Ehy does nobody else get this? There are no clunkers on that album. Everything is still fresh and tasty. And hypnotic like hell. They never came close to it.
