Someone must know about this band, surely? I can't believe they've never been mentioned on ILX.

Just picked up the 2015 reissues of their debut mini-album and subsequent full length LP, and it's a bit of a revelation. I vaguely knew about them via their appearance on the Cherry Red compilation "A Fine Day...And A Perfect Evening", but the handful of singles collected there was several line-up changes down the road from their initial beginnings as a synth/acoustic duo.

These earlier recordings(dating from 81-82) seem to occupy a similar place musically to early Felt, and even they had the same producer, John A. Rivers. There's something about that sound I find incredibly appealing, it's something that's very specific to this era. You can hear it in a lot of Cherry Red stuff like early EBTG and the Marine Girls, but there's very little(that I've heard) that sounds like it now.

By comparison, here's what they sounded like circa 1985. Quite a lot different.
