This guy deserves his own thread. His fourth album, The Uncanny Valley, comes out in May; it's great, as was its predecessor, 2014's Dangerous Days. There are two sample tracks on YouTube:

Feel free to use this thread for a larger discussion of retro '80s synthwave music, as I'm only familiar with a few other artists (Carpenter Brut, Vector Hold) and would appreciate recommendations.

This is pretty good. I was looking for a leak, then I realized this is probably just on his laptop.

I've also recently discovered Robert Parker, whose albums are similarly pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp:

His stuff's not as "dark" as Perturbator's - in fact, the Money Talks album sounds like '80s sitcom theme music.

There's an absolute shitload of this stuff coming out right now. It's great to see all this Laserdance-worship as I was a big fan of the original sound but the timing of this revival is a bit odd - why now? I thought that things would peter out after Com Truise, Lazerhawk, Zombi etc but the synthwave wave has been growing ever stronger.

i've not really got into the tommy'86 album yet, whereas the perturbator and gost albums are wonderful.blood music (the finnish label they are all on), are clearly on a roll.

I didn't like that NIN-ish EP he put out a few years ago. This is much better. His old style, with a little extra EBM mixed in.

yeah, they are pressing a LOT of variations of this album, and there is a small window of opportunity for UK based folks i believe due to brexit/import crap.
blood music really did ride the synthwave thing better than anyone else if you ask me.whenever i fancy listening to synthwave these days, it's just about always something on blood music.sadly i think that the bloke behind the label is calling it quits after this project.
