gosh what a great year this was, my only regret is "inspector norse" because it's good but honestly it's not stuck around and is definitely not peak terje - fell into the trap of a post-"snooze 4 love" overrating. i forgot i liked that mariah remix that much, too.

"cartoon & cereal" will forever be the great lost kendrick single, right? i still think it's the best thing he's ever done (and it's because of gunplay). that trina single never got 100th the shine it should have. seeing the r&b singles then and since prized by critics over "matte black truck" has been painful but also useful in terms of who to trust.

that shanell mixtape really was a goddamn masterpiece
