A Nairn (moretap), Saturday, 2 November 2002 04:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Windowlicker and Come to Daddy (the Pappy mix) are phenomenal.

Evan, Saturday, 2 November 2002 05:23 (twenty-two years ago)

flim = bubblegum classic

mark p (Mark P), Saturday, 2 November 2002 13:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Julio Desouza (jdesouza), Saturday, 2 November 2002 13:33 (twenty-two years ago)

the remix of the gentle people's 'journey' is one my fave aphex moments.

mr drongo, Saturday, 2 November 2002 13:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Seefeel - Time to Find Me (AFX Fast mix & AFX Slow Mix)

I second Flim & Windowlicker

'Richard's Hairpiece', a remix of Beck's Devil's Haircut, is pretty damn cool.

Keith McD (Keith McD), Saturday, 2 November 2002 13:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Nannou off Windowlicker

bob zemko (bob), Saturday, 2 November 2002 17:03 (twenty-two years ago)

both VENTOLIN singles are seriously worth tracking down for the b-side tracks more than the remixes - my favourite stuff he's ever done actually v.lo-fi wonky pop tunes. that and "milkman" and all the other bits offa the girl/boy single

bob snoom, Saturday, 2 November 2002 18:30 (twenty-two years ago)

powerpill pacman!!!

jess (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 2 November 2002 18:42 (twenty-two years ago)

oh - and his remix of beck's "devil's haircut" ("richard's hairpiece?") is one of my favourite bits of music ever - kinda like vangelis spazzing out punk electro stylee

the best aphex track is 'italic eyeball' off joyrex j9 ( i think) its on the caustic window comp. it has judy garland on it singing backwards. he played it at the rephlex thing in brick lane...joy!

ambrose (ambrose), Sunday, 3 November 2002 18:20 (twenty-two years ago)

Both mixes of Ventolin are fantastic. The one not on "I Care Because You Do" is beautiful.

phil jones (interstar), Monday, 4 November 2002 11:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I love Richard's Hairpiece as well, but I can't help thinking it'd be much better without the Beck samples.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 4 November 2002 12:13 (twenty-two years ago)

ok, lots of Aphex Twin threads to revive but this one seemed most appropriate:

Last night's peel show got eaten by gremlins so they played an aphex twin set from 2001(?) for the first 35 minutes instead and i thought people might like a listen. available here (for the moment): http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/radio1_aod.shtml?peel_thu

(this was followed by a 30 min shitkatapult mix and probably more stuff but i'm only 45 minutes in so...)
