Yowsah! I stumbled across this today:
http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/blueorchids
Immediately bought Awefull, which rounds up all their Rough Trade singles and some other stuff, and the new album, Future Thing, I think it's called. There's also a Martin Bramah solo album and a double live CD, some of it both LP and CD. And he's (Martin, I assume) selling excerpts from his writing about the Fall.
Within ten minutes of buying, I was sent two updates, one with a demo version of "The Flood," and the other with a newly-recorded 7-minute long "motorik" (they say) version of "Hanging Man." Neither are on any of the new releases, but they also promise that the new stuff will all (or mostly all, can't recall) have download cards with a fair amount of demos and outtakes and whatnot, plus special booklets and badges, all exclusive.
I haven't heard anything from the new album yet, but the version of "Hanging Man" is even better than the version on their first album, and it was recorded at the same time as the new album, so I'm psyched about that.
There's also a video going around of The Blue Orchids doing a cover version of "Work" while singing "Before The Moon Falls," evidently because the two songs were original one song, or so the story goes.
Don't know how long the site's been up, but I'm overjoyed - an important part of my youth was spent listening to the band, and this is a long-overdue return to the world of music.
Anyone heard the new album at all?

The Fates record is a little uneven, but has some amazing tracks on it. it's from 1985 originally. Martin Bramah is on a track or two, it's spookier and more mystical than Blue Orchids. Love 'em both.
