Dan Fogelberg- "Another Auld Lang Syne"Partly nostalgia (introduced to it by my college roommate, and we would sing it the rest of that year, which was one of the best for me), partly the Harry Chapin feel. It's like a bourgeois version of "Taxi". I like the theme of exs running into each other unexpectedly, the mixture of bittersweet. Has admittedly tawdry moments (the "laugh until we cried" part in the grocery store, "the snow...turned into rain" punchline, the Kenny G sax touches at the end), but that only seem to add to the magic. I've loathed most, if not all, of the rest of what I've heard from him: "Leader of the Band" and "Longer Than" are particularly dreadful. Though Chris Hillman from The Byrds covered one of his songs which I also liked, "Morning Sky".
Wham- "Freedom"I have a respect for "Careless Whisper", but the rest of their catalog for me ranges from indifference to major annoyance. "Freedom" is a great song, though. I like the little details: the Motownish rhythm section, immensely singable chorus, and that regal trumpet solo and rhythm guitar at the end.
Journey- "Don't Stop Believing"I don't like Steve Perry's voice, it's that pure and simple. If I did, there would be probably more I liked by them. This is their best song, by a long shot.
Peter Frampton- "I'm in You"Lyrically laughable ("You can't buy, what we made, you and I...") and I wouldn't blame anyone if they couldn't make it past the title, but the music to this ballad is stunning. Striding, cautiously descending piano chords that moodily shift from minor to major and back again, combined with light string backing...it really makes the song.
Night Ranger- "Don't Tell Me You Love Me"Particularly, I love the duelling guitar solos exchanged in the middle of the song (they should have used these for the Bill and Ted movies)--goofy and sweet, shredding before shredding became completely correlated with hair spray to move units. I mean Brad Gillis toured with Ozzy before this stint, right? What more legitimacy does one need...And the chorus is pure Asia. :)
Bryan Adams- "This Time"Don't LOVE this one, but I think it is a likeable pop song, that doesn't overstay its welcome (I have to admit, I don't even really like "Cuts Like a Knife" or "Heaven," two songs that I think probably have more proponents than this one).
The Bee Gees- "How Deep Is Your Love"I was about 5 years old when SNFever was in full manic effect and this was perpetually on the radio. As one might expect from a 5 year-old boy into KISS and the Jim Rice-era Red Sox, I completely hated it--the pale washes of electric piano, the mewling vocals, etc. How ironic that today, after being subjected through my teens and early adulthood to endless 70s/retro/disco revivals where "Stayin' Alive" and such is dragged out yet again, this is pretty much the only song by them I can bear to listen to them without complaint. As with the other tunes listed above, bad lyrics from what I can make out of them (hey, it's the Bee Gees), but the music is actually fairly sophisticated for such a major commercial pop tune.

My days of hating artists are behind me. It would be fairer to say that I don't much care for Ariana Grande but that I think 'No Tears Left to Cry' is an excellent song.
Likewise, I've never really connected with Michael Jackson's music but 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' is genius.

WEEZER - EL SCORCHO
I don’t actually hate them but this is the only song by them that makes me want to sing my lungs out, I didn’t love any song by them beforehand but I think I started loving this one by proxy of Allo Darlin’s “kiss your lips” which hijacks the chorus from Scorcho in a really fun way.
