i loooooove "fire," feels like a hybrid of paramore and kelly clarkson. think they have a ton of potential

"you and i" is pretty good but is kinda let down by wordless chorus pyrotechnics. still i think they like the 1975 combine a few otherwise alienated aesthetics in a really interesting way. obv emo pedigree but filtered through a lot of synth darkness

also they're sort of what i always wanted we are the in crowd to be but they didn't have the talent to pull it off

This stuff feels darker or more self serious or s/thing

Paramore were (arguably still are) more goth and self-serious than is implied by like "Still Into a You" - check "Misery Business", "Decode", "Ignorance" etc.

hi i finally had time to listen to this record. their sense of emotional scale is canyon-wide, and i love that they have so many different textures (basically a continuum of very good fluid gothy emo band <---------> star destroyer synths) and that i get to hear them cycle through every single one of them in every single song. massive improvement on the debut, what a cool band

I tried with these guys before and thought it was OK but not for me but "Death Of Me" and "Hallucinations" are such a gigantic leap forward and this new EP is excellent
