Anyone familiar with Catherine Anne Davies, aka Catherine AD, aka the Anchoress? Only just discovered, on the fence a bit, but I think my apprehensions about the Anchoress album are all down to production, because I listened to her earlier Catherine AD releases and her voice sounded less strained and compressed.
At any rate, recommended if you like, uh, Mansun? Lisa Stansfield? No-Man? I don't even know.
