I just saw the Queers tonight and there were 300 15 year olds and like 12 old guys that looked exactly like dee dee ramone who were probably 15 when the Queers started out.
does anyone do it better than pop-punk?

Judging by Reading a couple of years back, Green Day fans haven't got any older in the last seven years.

it's gotta be The Cure

they seem custom designed to hit every button of the sensitive, wanting to be a bit wierd suburban fifteen year old. when i was that fifteen yr old i loved them unreservedly and thought robert smith was a unique seer. now they revolt me.

particularly because robert smith seems perfectly aware of this and calculatedly appeals to it. why else keep the same (rubbish) clothes and haircut for twenty years?

sorry ned!

KISS.

Nah, Depeche. Cure comes close, though. And Adam, I CARE NOT FOR YOUR SCOFFS. ;-)

No kids seriously give a fuck about Kiss today....only oldsters like myself.

However, I'd say Danzig's fan base hasn't matured too much, even as the diminutive scowling one goes a bit grey in the temple himself.

Korn? Their original audience must be over 18 now, yet Korn fans are still invariably 13-15 years old.

But even if they're 45 years old on the outside...aren't the current members of the KISS Army still 15 years old...on the INSIDE?!

Good point, m'Lord.

Umm... How is the answer to this not Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd? Yes, the fogies still love them, but is there a more high school band than either of these?

Yancey (ystrickler), Monday, 4 November 2002 21:29 (twenty-three years ago)

For sheer volume, I'd have to second Pink Floyd. I think Dark Side sells another million copies every couple years, 99% of which have to be teenagers.
