My favorite one from Malibu is The Bird, it has that sort of psychedelic Badu/Dilla sound.

he's great. i sort of have the sense that he could fall into a Chance-esque career where the live performance has more impact than the records?

damn, i love that he hasn't ditched the drums.

Oxnard a slight disappointment imo, the songs aren't nearly as strong as malibu and the production is a bit flatter across the board.

6 Summers is my jam tho

Xpost: I agree... First impression is this is a step back from Malibu which was an instant classic. This one sounds like something is missing, it doesn’t feel as effortless and laidback as his previous albums and collaborations. There’s still some bits and pieces I really like, so it will probably grow on me.
