Little Wings: Two trilogies in a row means he must be good!

The first little wings trilogy was just three records that were put out. anyone can put out 3 records eventually and call it a trilogy. But K just put out the second "light green leaves" trilogy where it came out on 3 formats, tape, LP, CD. Each format contains different versions of the songs with other extra songs.

He is, after all, just one guy and a guitar, so what's so special about him? Why does he deserve 2 trilogies?

just saw him in charlottesville, VA on friday. the guy is way neurotic, and basically, the tape version is him recording the album at a campfire. the cd takes place in oregon, and the vinyl in seattle. got a friend that is obcessed with that whole scene right now, and i still can't find the draw of it.

kyle of little wings came to the college i go to with phil of the microphones for a few concerts last year... they were both incredibly entertaining... i was taken with the whimsical folkiness of little wings.. and i'm oddly charmed by kyle's innocent flakiness... but i probably wouldn't have been able to appreciate the music without the up-close-and-personal performances in which he had us huddle around him on the floor with the lights off while he played his beat-up acoustic guitar and sang songs, occassionally forgetting the lyrics...
