MISSY ELLIOTT fans are getting the chance to win $1 million if they can decipher the backwards lyrics on her new single, 'WORK IT'.
The star mentioned the competition, which is run in conjunction with AOL, in an interview with Radio 1 this week, while talking about the single, which is available this week for a one-week period only before being deleted.
During the interview, she was asked to reveal what the lyrics, which sound like they have been reversed, are. She replied: "I can't tell you that because it's a contest. You go to aol.com you get the chance to possibly win a million dollars if you can tell me what I say going backwards."
At the same time, www.missyelliott.com is offering fans the chance to enter a lottery by picking six numbers, to win $1 million. Six numbers will be picked at random on December 6, and the person whose numbers match will win the jackpot.

Isn't it very easy to just reverse an MP3 of the song in most audio programs? Hmm. It doesn't seem all that challenging, if I'm understanding the contest right.

Without playing it backwards, I always assumed after she says "put my game down flip it and reverse it", that its that same line backwards, and also the line "..take it back once" followed by backwards.
That would make sense, but if there really is a contest about this, I would doubt it.

Tis true, I span the record backwards the other night, she says "I put my thing (or game?) down, flip it and reverse it" and directly afterwars we get the same thing reversed.

haha you got to hand it to missy for not even knowing what's up with her team's idiotically lame promo idea, and haha to NME for reporting her asides verbatim—all you have to do is send a txtmsg that says "missy" to get entered
