This album was reasonably big over here a few years ago, he's a more or less constant presence on the festival circuit without really fitting in anywhere. Considering he's basically making broadsheet friendly 90s album dance he's retained a bit of cred but I suspect he'd be better if he fully committed to going down that road and selling out properly.

His Fabric mix is mostly his own stuff and better than the album by the way.

i like the sounds he gets on the album. and the album works as an album. in that kompakt way that i like. dance music for krautrock fans. the later EP stuff by him that i heard online felt more festival-y? more clubby? but what the hell do i know.

what good broadsheet-friendly 90's albums sound like the drone logic abum? because i would totally spotify those.

i can't remember if spotify has the fabric mix up. they might. i noticed that on discogs.

"90s" is the key idea here to me - it reminds me of Underworld and Leftfield more than anything I've heard in the past ten years.

The vocalist on this album, Kelly Lee Owens, has just released a really good solo album.

I know I am late to the show, but following my eldest getting me his new album for xmas I thought i would dive in.

the RA mix is bloody wonderful.
