independent record stores?

Where are some decent independent record joints in London you guys would recommend? And also, is there some kind of comprehensive list of concerts in London or shall I just keep scouring each venue's website? I just wanna rock.

rough trade - talbot road, just of the portobello road or there is another one in Neals Yard in Covent Garden

selectadisc - berwick st in soho, there's lots of record shops down this road.

gigs - time out is probably your best bet.

selectadisc is definitely the best - a great range and loads of bargains.

I've been buying stuff from them for about 19 years now (through their shops in Nottingham first and now the Berwick St one) so I dread to think how much of my money they've taken over the years.
