Yeah I know I'm still missing hundreds of songs. Fire recommendations and omissions away. The 80's are a very interesting decade for me because both the mainstream and the 'underground' music was really out there (particularly the latter), probably the most interesting decade in that regard... old genres were being mutated into new ones every month.

It seemed like a decade were every artist was competing on who released the weirder concepts.

This being ILX, I predict New Order, The Cure and Bauhaus being the Top 3.

Shriekback's "My Spine Is The Bassline" is all-time, so that. Could've voted for over a dozen of these and love the fact that "The Fish Needs A Bike" is on here. Blurt is an undiscovered treasure.

"You're My Favorite Waste of Time" by a hair over "Stop It." Once again, Moka flags some of my all-time favorites which I didn't know anybody else still cared about.

I love Marshall Crenshaw so much! I think there was a year not that long agobwhen I heard that song almost every day. There is something very charming about it, how it sounds like it was completed in an hour.

So in the end i did not vote for the winner but i was very close. I am always surprised how much ilm loves new order, i like them too but not as much. and additionally age of consent is not even in my top ten of new order.
