Just a heads up. I just got an email with you with a huge attachment and no message. Maybe you ought to check out yr computer.

I get messages like this EVERY DAMN DAY, usually around 135k in size. The virus affixes itself to your address book and sends you attachments from those addresses. Luckily, Hotmail won't let me open any such e-mail.

This has been happening for months. I just delete the messages as soon as they arrive.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hotmail itself is the culprit -- they've been doing their damndest lately to give their users the royal fucking.

I didn't send you email, Fritz (though you probably knew that). I also once got a message saying an 'email' I'd supposedly sent to anthony was rejected by his server. I hope there's nothing up with my new computer and it's just something to do with yahoo.

i get about 7 or 8 of these a week, the most recent ones have been from madchen and dastoor

grr i am getting abt 50 emails an hour currently, courtesy a virus like this which attached itself to someone's copy of the electronic music foundation list

first of all all the automatic responses click in, and send reports to EVERY SINGLE NAME ON THE LIST (none of whom is responsible), then people complain about the reports, but can only send their complaints to EVERY SINGLE NAME ON THE LIST (the actual source is of course made up by the virus-bot)

it's like when kids ring all the buzzers in my block at once, and we all answer and end up shouting at one another down the intercom, while the kids run away laughing

haha the cool bit is i now have the emails of various quite famous electronica avant-gardists, and messages from them "to" me saying WTF!!
