it's probably just going to be jewelry. there are gold chains with that pattern. and the song is called "timeless" which i'm sure some bullshit jewelry company uses as a slogan. maybe bulgari?
i'm most curious about how she's going to adapt to pop radio being allergic to women with distinctive voices. the 50 shades song felt like a test of the waters on that front.

I’ve only really absorbed this record in the past few days in the wake of the release of LOVER, and I made my own tracklisting for it:
1. ...Ready For It?2. I Did Something Bad3. So it Goes...4. Delicate5. End Game (feat. Ed Sheeran and Future)6. Dress7. Dancing With Our Hands Tied8. Don’t Blame Me9. Call It What You Want10. This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things
Begins and ends how it always should’ve: with Taylor remaining joyfully and deliriously bad. “Getaway Car” doesn’t do anything to supplement the flow of this sequence; that and “King Of My Heart” would be the B-sides. “New Year’s Day” works better as a hidden track on an alternate LOVER tracklist where the title track serves as the closer. “Gorgeous” and “LWYMMD” never should’ve seen the light of day.
― winters (josh), Tuesday, 27 August 2019 18:47 (five years ago) link
i was just thinking that time has been unexpectedly kind to this record. even "look what you made me do" won me over, it's kinda delightfully arch out of its immediate context. "this is why we can't have nice things" is the only song i find too embarrassing to bear, good hook though
― american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 27 August 2019 19:36 (five years ago) link

― american bradass (BradNelson), Tuesday, 27 August 2019 19:38 (five years ago) link
I agree with you on the sequencing. The album's already aging reeeeally well, and it may become my personal favorite in time.
― winters (josh), Tuesday, 27 August 2019 20:31 (five years ago) link
I really should go back to this. I think New Year's Day is the best song here by far and I've always liked Getaway Car and King of My Heart. Without having gone back to it for a while, I feel it has too many momentum killers for me: "Endgame", "I Did Something Bad", "So It Goes", "Dancing"; "Call It What You Want" seemed underwhelming and 100% on "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things".
But I should go back to it; I'll be doing it soon.
