Search - those pesky new and previously unreleased tracks on greatest hits albums

I say search because I am assuming you'd destroy just about the lot of them, so I'm looking for the exceptions to the rule. Had the idea for this thread a while ago, but it was spurred on by the meh-ness of the new U2 single (and I do like U2, so it's not a wholly gratuitous diss).

When We Dance, Take Me To The Sunshine and This Cowboy Song (plus the superior remixes of We'll Be Together, Why Should I Cry For You?, Nothing 'Bout Me, and Fortress Around Your Heart)from Sting's Fields of Gold collection (1994) help make the disc a worthwhile purchase. I can't think of any others at the present time...

"Wrong Number" off Cure's Galore is a pretty damn good song. The Talking Heads' Sand in the Vaseline has a number of great previously unreleased tracks.

Destroy: "Adult Education" by Hall and Oates. In retrospect, the hell? And that video!

"The Whole World" off of Big Boi and Dre Present...Outkast.

Search: "Pink Cashmere"

Destroy: "Peach", "The Pope"

Search: "This Hard Land" (Bruce Springsteen's Greatest Hits), "Music Is My Radar" (The Best Of Blur), "The Whole World" and "Movin' Cool (The After Party)", (Andre & Big Boi Present...)

I gotta disagree about destroying "Peach" and "Pope." "Peach" has a great guitar solo and absurd sound effects, while "Pope" at the very least has Prince rapping about "Here's a loop/there's a loop." They're definitely no worse than "Sexy MF" or "Do Me Baby" on "Hits 2."

"Lifetime Piling Up" by Talking Heads on SAND IN THE VASELINE (as someone above cited) is indeed mighty good.

"Little Scratch" by Captain Beefheart on Dust Blows Forward

I'm surprised nobody's started a thread about Nirvana's "You Know You're Right" yet. (Then again, it sounds exactly like you'd expect, so perhaps that's not so surprising.)

As I own precisely zero Nirvana records, I might get this new collection at some point. Looks like a good overview.

Is the Björk 'Family Tree' thing out yet?
