Nick Jagger = Meat and Potatoes

Any ilmers who find themselves in Manchester on the 22nd of this beautiful month of November could do themselves well by heading down to The Rampant Lion near St Marrys Hospital.

Basically my mate Mark is promoting his first night there and I know full well he's crap at publicity so I'm helping him out. The night is called Nick Jagger which he tells me is Japanese for Meat and Potatoes although I don't believe him.

Theres two DJ's threatening on the flyer to treat you to Pizzicato 5, Boards of Canada, The Hives, Royksopp, Leila, Looper, Prefuse 73, Momus, Flaming Lips, Rei Harakami, Yellow Magic Orchestra and other painfully trendy stuff that its impossible to dance to. But at least we can all stand round in our tasteful clothes drinking tasteful beer talking about how tasteful we all are.

Oops I could've made that sound a lot better. Trust me, it'll be ace. It all "kicks off" at 9pm. Be there or die a sad, lonely death surrounded by mansized scorpions and insultingly z-list Ready Steady Cook chefs.

um, actually it's niku jaga -- jaga is short for jagaimo, potato, and niku means meat, when you order this -- traditional dish -- in a Japanese restaurant it can sound just like Mick Jagger, or something...i
