but if you could have got away with it, you'd have maybe got a selfie with.

I know, I know, you would never do that, and neither would I. But, of all the people that you could have frozen in time and got one with (by all means factor in/out the likelihood that even if the selfee was in a good mood they'd acquiesce)

Was reminded just now of when I saw William Reid and Hope Sandoval out shopping together (Tower Records), and how the J&MC were my favourite band then, still I'd much prefer to leave them to their own company.

So, my one choice for the photo would be Mo Tucker.

Poor thread. Gave it a bump. Not really got an answer because the idea of asking a celebrity for a selfie goes against everything I stand for.

What do you stand for? I remember seeing Joey Ramone at a gig - in NYC, in case of confusion - and only one of the group I was with had the nerve to ask him if he could have his photo taken with him.

I don't really regret that though because it's against everything I stand for too.

With the help of my brother lining up the shot, I did sneak a shot of Steven Tyler in the next both at Pizzeria Regina in Boston a few weeks ago. I am lame. He came out smaller than the shaker of chili flakes used as cover. Patrons were playing it cool at first, but started dropping by to shake hands after about twenty minutes. Didn't see any selfies.

i surreptitiously took a picture of jerry springer buying coffee at the river rock casino in richmond, b.c. to send to my wife with the caption "lol jerry springer"

it came out really badly and could literally have been any old man. but it was better than bothering him or taking a picture in an obvious way.

one year passes...

I got a message this morning from Amber, who's travelling back from LA after having a meetup w her friend in Seattle and having a flydrive hol (obviously the fly bit was going to Seattle)

I just saw "with Al Pacino" and I was like wo, thinking she'd managed the ultimate selfie..

It turns out she'd just watched "Dog Day Afternoon" on the in-flight movie on NorwegianAir. As was made clear from her previous message.
