Alright, they're gonna need a thread, I'm only sad I waited so long. Their cymbal-heavy grooves and "who knew a melody could still feel so generous, so new" melodies got me in a trance when they opened for Jay Som in March, then The Courtneys II defined my spring and summer. I wanted my drum set back so bad, if only to bash along to all of its 38 minutes, had to settle for driving around instead.

I liked this album. Our local music editor didn't put on the annual "best of local releases" list initially and I pushed to have included. Pretty happy he caved.
