the late great, Saturday, 2 December 2017 01:03 (eight years ago)

Feel like D’s highest highs are higher than TP. TA is great but more mellow.

calstars, Saturday, 2 December 2017 01:46 (eight years ago)

Higher than toilet paper

calstars, Saturday, 2 December 2017 01:47 (eight years ago)

Recent Tame Impala is not anything like Dungen is it? First couple of albums, sure.

is this the only thread we have on The Amazing? In Transit has me convinced they're the true heirs to early Sun Kil Moon.....except in space? Their last three albums are all great. Great music for nursing a cold to.

You know, I hadn't checked them out so I clicked the video for "Rewind" and wow you weren't kidding. Sounds so much like "Carry Me Ohio" in a weird way.

Evan, Saturday, 7 April 2018 03:36 (seven years ago)

Right? Almost uncanny. Anyone who hates Koz's recent....turn should check them out.

Simon H., Saturday, 7 April 2018 03:49 (seven years ago)

Similar to the way milk "turns".

I'm 3 songs into the new one. It's nice!

Evan, Saturday, 7 April 2018 03:57 (seven years ago)

lmao

Picture You is probably still my favorite but the new one is a beaut. "Never Be" is worthy of A Northern Soul. The fact that they've been cranking them out every 18 months or so is impressive, too.

Simon H., Saturday, 7 April 2018 11:53 (seven years ago)

The Amazing opened for Tame Impala on a tour around 4-5 years ago and they were great, but the Tame Impala fans hated them. Thusly, I hate Tame Impala fans. For the record Dungen rules over them all live.

I was wrong, In Transit is the best Amazing album yet. Anyone with an even passing interest in mellow psych and/or pretty guitars owes it their time.

wow In Transit is really lovely. it's not really doing anything new but i'm completely here for anything carrying on from where Ghosts of the Great Highway and April left off this well. are their other albums this good?

ufo, Friday, 5 October 2018 01:20 (seven years ago)

The previous two are almost as good. My only beef with the new one is that it just sort of...ends. Picture You has it beat in the sequencing department.

Zappa’s Peaches en Regalia came on at the bar and damn I thought I didn’t know Dungen had a new single out
