Baby Come Back by Jimmy Haddox didn't get enough attention. Look, I'm not saying it's John Farnham level, but it got stuck in my head this morning. Rockabilly guy singing a song written by Eddy Grant. Produced by Skip Drinkwater and Tommy Faragher, who were both working on Chico Debarge and Vanity's 1986 albums at the time. They seem to just slam together sounds from like every major mid-80s pop-star at the time? I hear elements of Madonna, Miami Sound Machine, Prince, Huey Lewis, probably many more.
