A Thread For MARMOZETS

The English band Marmozets (composed of two sets of siblings: a woman and her two brothers, and then another set of brothers) have just released their second album, Knowing What You Know Now. They signed to Roadrunner back in 2014, shortly before I stopped working there, and I was a huge fan from the moment I heard them. I remain a fan in a non-professional capacity.

The first album was screamy math-rock; the new one has ballads and keyboards and stuff, but it still explodes a lot and singer Becca Macintyre is still a berserker. This is the first track on the album.

Rock's not dead, but there's something very "2004" about this.

just starting on the new one, sounds like a less overdriven Blood Command imo

the ballads were def the worst part of the first album (well that and whenever they went too deep into faith no more territory) but i'm surprised by how much i like "insomnia," sounds like it could be on return of saturn

actually there's really only one ballad on the first record ("cry") but it's very not good
